Moira Hyde
Moira is a practising artist based in Faversham. She trained in languages and administration but, while studying, developed an
interest in creativity.
She was involved in the formation of a community arts project in the Medway Towns (Arts in Medway, renamed Spiral Arts), later becoming Director of the organisation. When Spiral Arts ceased operations, Moira decided to pursue her own creativity, particularly in the fields of painting, writing and photography.
Her visual artwork is characterised by vibrant use of colour and bold shapes, forming compositions that trigger the imagination and provide a space for contemplation. She uses oils for her larger paintings and mixed media including acrylics, pencils, pens and printing inks for smaller pieces.
