The Alexander Collection
Sarah is a musical artist who paints in an intuitive and improvisatory fashion. In her late thirties she reached a crossroads and through SGI Buddhist practice, found the courage and realised she was an artist. Painting is one way to explore and enable Sarah to make sense of whatever is going on in her life… distilled through her senses and life states… expressed with colour and energy.
There is a freshness about the work which is a freeing and joyful process, sometimes evolving into stories – or freescapes… telling a story to the viewer.
Sarah usually works with charcoal, oil, acrylic and ink. She also loves the apparent randomness of abstract photos, which are being developed. She is working on songs and a musical piece, ‘finding a voice’. Currently living in Ramsgate, Sarah has mainly exhibited in the South of England and sold work nationally and internationally.
